Well another season is almost done. Wow, where did the Summer go. It is sad to tell you that we put Mama, cat down on September 1st. she had been with us for 21 years. She will be missed. The baby chickens arrived on August 18th. and are getting bigger each day. They grow so fast. It only takes 8 weeks to raise.
As time flies, I wonder where it all went. 25 years ago Doug and I brought our three daughters to this abandon farm. Not realizing that they to would stay in farming. We have had some terrible years and struggles. Nothing was given to us. We worked to have it. That is why the house does not have new window and siding. The farm came 1st. We upgraded most of our equipment, put in an irrigation well. Now we are trying to pay off the mortgage. I am looking forward to a 2nd generation on the farm. Mary and Kevin will be helping with the farm. We are in the planning stages for more upgrades and added things.
